Chuluunbat Ochirbat was named vice minister of Economic Development in
September 2012. The role of the Ministry of Economic Development is to formulate,
develop and coordinate Government of Mongolia’s economic policies.
Mr. Chuluunbat was educated in Moscow, Russia at School of International
Relations and holds a Doctorate in Economics.
Before joining the Ministry, Mr. Chuluunbat was a Member of Parliament from
2008 to 2012 and was head of Parliament’s Committee on Budget. Mr. Chuluunbat
served as Governor of Central Bank of Mongolia for six years starting from 2000.
Other roles in public and private sector include Deputy Governor of Central Bank of
Mongolia and First Deputy Director of City Bank.
He is currently the President of Mongolian National Association of
Construction and Mongolian Table Tennis Association.
